Newcastle United will find it hard in UEFA Champions League
Newcastle United’s ‘honeymoon period’ in the UEFA Champions League is well and truly over. After picking up four points against AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, fans must have been over the moon. However, the defeat to Borussia Dortmund at home indicates how much work they still have to do. Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak suffered a groin injury against Borussia Dortmund. It is a massive blow for the Magpies. The Sweden international is unlikely to be on the sidelines for long since manager Eddie Howe has said that it is not a serious injury. However, even missing a few games would affect the Magpies. Isak is one of the best and most important players for Newcastle. The 24-year-old has scored six goals in six Premier League starts for the Magpies so far this season.
Borussia Dortmund cannot be taken lightly
Borussia Dortmund remain a force to be reckoned with. While Dortmund are not playing wonderful football like they used to under Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, but they are a very efficient side who get the job done. Dortmund are now second in UEFA Champions League Group F. The German club will certainly fancy progressing to the next round of Europe’s premier club competition. Dortmund are fourth in the Bundesliga table at the moment with 20 points from eight games, just two points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. They can also win the Bundesliga title
